Woodlands Regional Library
Woodlands Regional Library was officially opened on 28 April 2001 by Dr Tony Tan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Defence and MP, Sembawang GRC.
Occupying four storeys and part of a basement over a floor space of 11,100 square meters in the Woodlands Civic Centre, it is a one-stop information and reference centre for the northern sector of Singapore.
Unique Features
Asian Children’s Literature (ACL) Collection
Woodlands Regional Library houses the Asian Children's Literature (ACL) Collection. It aims to raise awareness and promote deeper understanding of Asian children's literature, as well as Asian culture and heritage, among researchers, teachers, parents and children. The ACL Collection holds about 8,000 items, including rare publications dating back to the 1900s. The collection is accompanied by a thematic exhibition that is refreshed periodically.
Silver Infocomm Junction (SIJ)
A collaboration between the National Library Board and the Infocomm Development Authority, the SIJ offers adults aged 50 and above an enriching space to learn about basic computing skills, social networking, how to access NLB’s eResources, and more. Interested patrons can sign up.
