Opening the year with the most whimsical and enchanting ballet of all-time, Coppélia is a joyous ballet that radiates revelry and merriment throughout the theatre, from the stage to your very own seats.

Based on a story by E.T.A. Hoffmann, this three-act ballet tells the light-hearted story of the mysterious Dr Coppélius who owns a beautiful life-sized mechanical doll, Coppélia. A village youth named Franz, betrothed to the beautiful Swanilda becomes infatuated with Coppélia, not knowing that she is just a doll. The magic and fun begins when Swanilda disguised as Coppélia springs to life!

With original choreography by Arthur St. Léon, Coppélia is staged with additional choreography by Janek Schergen. Be enthralled by this magical production that is set to a ballet libretto by Charles Nuittier, with music by Léo Delibes.
