Colour it! Mural Project @ Tampines Regional Library Calling all Tampines residents! Let’s gather at Tampines Regional Library on Sunday, 12 March 2017 from 11am to 5pm to colour the mural located at the entrance of the library. This mural project at Tampines Regional Library is created by artist Speak Cryptic to commemorate the moving of Tampines Regional Library to its new location.

The mural will feature trees, vines and branches carrying the books we love to its new home over at Our Tampines Hub! The tree is used to represent the idea of physical and spiritual nourishment along with transformation and growth in some cultures and traditions, which the artist feels is most suitable for this occasion.

No registration is required and admission is free.

About the artist

Farizwan Fajari, professionally known as Speak Cryptic, is a visual artist working and living in Singapore.
Inspired by the visual language prevalent within the cultures of comics and underground music, his works primarily deals with the issues pertaining to the human condition. Utilising personal iconographies and a cast of characters that he has developed over the years, he applies them to various narratives inspired by his observations on current affairs and his immediate environment.

Since 2005, he has participated in exhibitions both locally and abroad which includes Singapore: Inside Out (Beijing, London and New York, 2015), the Secret Archipelago (Paris, 2015), the Singapore Biennale (2013), Budi Daya (2014) and Future Proof (2012).
