A minimum of 5 pax is required to start the workshop.
This workshop will let you learn how to program a robot to perform responsive tasks.
mBot is a versatile robot for young kids to build, program and enhance. Its brain is based on an open-platform Arduino processor board. The programming of mBot is through mBlock, a user-friendly graphical programming based on Scratch 2.0.
What you will learn:
• Ease of graphical programming
• Concepts of sensors and their applications
• Control of input and output (IO) of a microprocessor
• Programming of a robot to respond to keyboard commands
• Applications of robots in real life
The workshop will end with a fun game where the participants will develop a program to control the robot to burst a balloon attached to the opponent’s robot.
This programme is suitable for participants aged 9 years old and above.
Admission is free and registration is required.
Participants are advised to arrive on time, as allocated seats will be released to interested participants 10 minutes after the start of the workshop.
